Aldrin and Armstrong’s Lunar Module Departing the Moon’s Surface for Docking, w Earthrise in the Background, 8 x 10” Autographed Print

This magnificent 8 x 10″ print of the Apollo XI Lunar Module stage ascending, with Astronauts Neil A. Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin aboard heading back to their spaceship, with the Earthrise in the background, is authentically autographed by Aldrin.

This is photographed from the Command and Service Modules during rendezvous in lunar orbit. The Lunar Module was making its docking approach to the CSM. Astronaut Michael Collins remained with the CSM in lunar orbit while the other two crewmen explored the lunar surface. The large, dark-colored area in the background is Smyth’s Sea, centered at 85 degrees east longitude and 2 degrees south latitude on the lunar surface (nearside). This view looks west. The Earth rises above the lunar horizon.

As each photo is signed individually by Aldrin, signature and placement are slightly different on each. The print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Buzz Aldrin Ventures COO Linn LeBlanc depicting Aldrin signing .
