Just in! This First Moon Landing Page of U.S. Postage Stamp, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 when released this past July, is accompanied with a 5 x 7″ authentically autographed photo of Buzz Aldrin, matted and framed in a handsome presentation to create an instant heirloom!
The United States Post Office Department released the stamp in 2019 to honor the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. The 24-stamp page features two stamps placed side by side. One of the two new stamps features an iconic Apollo 11 photo of Aldrin standing on the surface of the moon. Armstrong, as the photographer, can be seen in the reflection of Aldrin’s helmet visor. The other stamp in the pair uses an image of the moon captured by amateur astronomer Gregory Revera of Huntsville, Alabama. Tranquility Base, the landing site of the Apollo 11 lunar module “Eagle” in the Sea of Tranquility, is denoted on the stamp by a bold yellow dot.
Both stamps include the inscription “1969 First Moon Landing.” An image of the lunar module will be included on the selvage, or border, of the pair.
The presentation measures 18″ x 14″ and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Buzz Aldrin Ventures COO Linn LeBlanc depicting a digital picture of Aldrin signing the photo.
Autograph position and size on each item may vary, as every item is uniquely signed by Dr. Aldrin.
